Ogden Valley Tea Party

The tax issue is heating up thanks to the help of many. Time is of the essence and we will try to post links to pertinant information on this site.

First of all, it is quite apparrent that no relief will be given this year on the state or county level, so it will be up to residents to challenge their appeals and take on the county head on.

The deadline for Appealing your property tax assessment is September 17, 2007. We recommend getting a Certified Market Analysis (CMA) from at least one Realtor, then use that CMA as a basis for appeal.

  • You may contact the Weber Board of Realtors at (801) 476-4216 and they will refer you to local realtors who have offered to conduct a Certified Market Analysis (CMA) of your property free of charge.
  • Also, an appraiser has offered to conduct a desktop appraisal for the discounted price of $100 (normally $300). His name is Davis Strong and his number is (801) 631-6449.

Possible Lawsuit/Injunction

The precedings for a lawsuit to put an immediate halt to the property tax increase is underway and your support and contributions are necessarry. If you can donate $100 or more, please contact Huntsville Resident D-Bell dkbell266@yahoo.com

At this point an investigation into the County from a legal firm has been initiated to ensure the County has followed all the appropriate procedures and Truth in Taxation Laws.
